ANKARA
Bulgarian club Ludogorets beat Istanbul side Fenerbahce 2-0 in a UEFA Europa Conference League Group H match on Thursday.
Polish midfielder Jakub Piotrowski’s screamer from long range in the 18th minute brought the lead to the hosts at Ludogorets Arena in Razgrad.
Brazilian forward Rwan Seco’s low shot in the 92nd minute ensured the vital victory for Ludogorets.
Fenerbahce put on an ineffective display during the match due to having several important injured players in the squad including Fred, Rodrigo Becao, Alexander Djiku and Serdar Aziz.
The Bulgarian side ended Fenerbahce’s three-match winning streak in Group H.
Fenerbahce still occupy the top spot in Group H with 9 points while Ludogorets are placed third with 6 points.
