Sloboda Tuzla, a club in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Premier League, fired all of its coaches and players following a string of poor results in the season.
“We informed all of the players that they are no longer part of our club, and we dissolved the team,” Sloboda Tuzla President Azmir Husic told Anadolu on Tuesday, describing the decision as one of the most difficult he has had to make.
He added, “I expect everyone to mutually terminate their contracts in the coming days.”
The club, one of the oldest in the country, has lost 15 of its 17 league games this season.
With 16 matches left in the season, Husic said the club plans to rebuild and fight to stay in the league.
Founded in 1919, Sloboda Tuzla is in last place with 2 points from 17 matches, having scored 5 goals and conceded 36.
