Borsa Istanbul up at Thursday’s close

ISTANBUL

The Turkish benchmark stock index ended at 7,764.47 points on Thursday, up by 1.33% from the previous close.

Starting day at 7.675,06 points, the index hovered between 7,633.13 and 7,798.61, and earned 102.21 points versus Wednesday’s close.

The trading saw 71 indexes gaining value, while 27 lost.

The daily transaction volume reached 133.7 billion Turkish liras ($4.9 billion), while the overall value of the index was 6.55 trillion Turkish liras ($242.1 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 27.0990 as of 6.20 p.m. local time (GMT1520), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 29.5150, and the British pound traded at 34.5190 Turkish liras.
