Barcelona secured a 90-63 win over visitors Fenerbahce Beko on Tuesday in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 16 game in Spain.
Serbian guard Kevin Punter scored a game-high 25 points for Barcelona to play a key role in the win.
Home team Barcelona’s Justin Anderson racked up 18 points, while his teammate Jabari Parker added 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds at the Palau Blaugrana.
US forward Bonzie Colson scored 15 points to lead Fenerbahce Beko. Colson was the only Fenerbahce player to have scored in double digits.
Barcelona improved to 9-7 to be eighth in the EuroLeague standings.
Sarunas Jasikevicius’ Fenerbahce Beko were handed their sixth loss in 16 appearances. The Istanbul giants moved down to the fifth spot.
Monaco are now leading the EuroLeague with 11 wins. The French club beat Germany’s Bayern Munich 93-74 on Tuesday.
Panathinaikos trounce Milan as Nunn scores 39 points for winners
Greek basketball powerhouse Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens steamrolled EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 103-74 in a home game on Tuesday.
Panathinaikos’ US guard Kendrick Nunn was on fire to score a career-high and EuroLeague season-high 39 points for the victors at the OAKA Altion.
Nunn hit seven three-pointers in the first quarter to break a EuroLeague record in this field.
Nikola Mirotic led the Italian club with 16 points.
Both Panathinaikos and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan have a 9-7 win/loss record in standings.
