Barcelona continue La Liga winning streak with victory over Espanyol

Barcelona extended their winning streak with a victory over Espanyol, winning the Catalan derby on Sunday.

Spanish La Liga leaders Barcelona secured their fourth consecutive victory courtesy of a 3-1 win over Espanyol in a home match.

Spain midfielder Dani Olmo scored twice, while Brazil’s Raphinha added another goal for Barcelona in the derby.

Atletico Madrid secured a 2-0 victory over Las Palmas, and Real Sociedad also triumphed with a 2-0 win against Sevilla last weekend.

The Valencia vs. Real Madrid clash has been postponed due to deadly flash floods.

On matchday 12, Barcelona holds the top spot with 33 points. Real Madrid, with a game in hand, trail with 24 points, closely followed by Atletico Madrid with 23 points.

Liverpool go top of Premier League as Man City suffer defeat

Liverpool moved to the top of the English Premier League after a 2-1 comeback win against Brighton & Hove Albion at home.

The Reds earned the win against Brighton, with goals from Dutch forward Cody Gakpo and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah at the Anfield Stadium.

Brighton’s only goal came from Turkish full-back Ferdi Kadioglu.

Manchester City’s 32-game unbeaten streak in the league ended in a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on the road.

Arsenal lost 1-0 to Newcastle United at away, dropping points for the third consecutive match.

Meanwhile, Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in week 10’s highlight match.

Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table with 25 points in the 10th week. Trailing closely are Manchester City with 23 points, followed by Nottingham Forest with 19 points.

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are tied, with 18 points each.

Bayern Munich at top of Bundesliga

Bayern Munich won their third consecutive German Bundesliga match, beating Union Berlin 3-0 at Allianz Arena with goals from England star Harry Kane, who scored twice, and France’s Kingsley Coman.

Borussia Dortmund handed Leipzig their first defeat of the season with a 2-1 win at home.

In the highest-scoring match of the week, Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Bochum with a commanding 7-2 victory.

At the end of the 9th week of the league, Bayern Munich held onto the top spot with 23 points, leading ahead of Leipzig with 20 points and Eintracht Frankfurt with 17 points.

Napoli maintain their leadership despite losing

Napoli’s five-match winning streak came to an end after losing 3-0 to Atalanta in the Italian Serie A.

Defending champions Inter Milan beat Venezia 1-0 at home while Juventus had a 2-0 win at Udinese.

Hellas Verona secured a 3-2 home victory over Roma. Fiorentina continue their impressive form to win a 1-0 away game against Torino, marking their fifth consecutive win.

In the 11th week of the league, Napoli led the standings with 25 points. Close behind were Inter with 24 points, Atalanta and Fiorentina tied with 22 points each, and Juventus with 21 points.

Paris Saint-Germain continue to maintain their leadership in France

In the 10th week of the French Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured their third consecutive victory by defeating Lens 1-0, thanks to a goal from France winger Ousmane Dembele.

Olympique Marseille continued their pursuit of the top spot with a 2-1 road win at Nantes.

Monaco suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Angers, marking their third consecutive match in which they dropped points.

Unbeaten PSG sit at the top of the Ligue 1 with 26 points, while both Marseille and Monaco follow closely behind, each having collected 20 points.
