Barcelona sealed an 87-79 road win against Bayern Munich in Round 32 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Thursday.
Jabari Parker produced 15 points, while Nicolas Laprovittola scored 14 points and Jan Vesely netted 12 points at BMW Park in Munich.
“They pushed us a lot in the fourth quarter, but we were in control. We passed the ball well and found many open shots,” Barcelona coach Roger Grimau said after the victory.
Bayern Munich’s Nick Weiler-Babb and Serge Ibaka each scored 17 points, but their efforts were not enough to avoid defeat.
Ibaka also added 12 rebounds in the loss.
Bayern Munich coach Pablo Laso said after the loss that the German side played better in the second half but missed some opportunities to get closer, adding “we were playing against a great team.”
Barcelona are third with 21 wins and 11 losses while FC Bayern Munich are 15th with 13 wins and 19 losses.
In another Thursday clash, Olympiacos Piraeus defeated Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade with a 74-69 result at Stark Arena.
With this result, Olympiacos Piraeus jumped to fourth spot with 20 wins and 12 losses while Partizan dropped to 13th place with 14 wins and 18 defeats.
