Ballkani beat Sivasspor 4-3 in Conference League

ANKARA

Kosovo team Ballkani beat Turkish club Sivasspor 4-3 Thursday in a Group G UEFA Europa Conference League match.

Sivasspor’s Norwegian forward Fredrik Ulvestad netted an early shocker in the first minute at New Sivas 4 Eylül Stadium.

Armend Thaqi of Ballkani responded in kind in the 20th minute, then Arber Potoku brought the lead to the Kosovo club for the first time in the 31st minute.

Ballkani didn’t back down in the second half as Meriton Korenica made it 3-1 in the 66th minute.

Erdogan Yesilyurt took one back for Sivasspor in the 75th minute, then when Mustapha Yatabare leveled the score in the 92nd minute, the match seemed as if it would end that way.

But two minutes later, Ermal Krasniqi shocked Sivasspor fans with his last-minute winner and the match ended 4-3.

Ballkani now lead the all-4-pointed Group G standings with a goal difference while Sivasspor are placed second.

 

Basaksehir fail to win against 10-man RFS

Istanbul Basaksehir failed to win against a 10-man Rigas FS as they were held to a goalless draw against the Latvian club in a UEFA Europa Conference League Group A match on Thursday.

Tomas Simkovic was sent off with a second yellow card in the 70th minute at Skonto Stadium in Riga, Latvia.

Basaksehir kept their lead in the Group A table with 7 points while RFS lies at the bottom with 2 points.
