Felix Gall of the AG2R Citroen team on Wednesday won stage 17 of the Tour de France.
The 25-year-old from Austria finished a 165.7 km (102-mile) route from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains to Courchevel in four hours, 49 minutes, and eight seconds.
Simon Yates of the Jayco Alula team came in second while Pello Bilbao of Bahreyn Victorious finished in third.
The 18th stage, spanning 184.9-kilometer (115-mile) route, is scheduled for Thursday and will take riders between Moutiers and Bourg en Bresse.
The Tour de France will conclude with its final stage in Paris, on July 23.

1. Jonas Vingegaard (Denmark): 67 hours 57 minutes 51 seconds
2. Tadej Pogacar (Slovenia): +7 minutes 35 seconds
3. Adam Yates (Great Britain): +10 minutes 45 seconds
