Assistant referee Hatzidakis not to officiate amid FA investigation

ANKARA

Assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis will not officiate until an investigation over an alleged elbow incident on Andy Robertson is completed, the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) said on Monday.

“PGMOL will not be appointing Constantine Hatzidakis to fixtures in any of the competition it serves whilst The FA investigates the incident involving the assistant referee and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at Anfield,” the refereeing body said in a statement.

Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson accused Hatzidakis of elbowing him during the English Premier League game against Arsenal on Sunday, which ended 2-2.

Robertson was shown a yellow card after the incident.

Earlier, the PGMOL promised to “review the matter in full.”
