ANKARA
Major Asian stock markets closed Monday with mixed figures.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, lost 0.24% to 3,376 points as of 1130 GMT.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 increased 0.10% to close at 28,593 points.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong exchange, lost 0.58% to reach 19,959 points.
Hong Kong’s unemployment rate decreased to 3.1% in the January-March period, hitting its lowest level in the three months to October 2019.
The number of unemployed people dropped by 600 to reach 115,100 in January-March.
China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange was down 0.78% to 3,275 and India’s Sensex index rose 0.67% to close at 60,056.
The Singapore index increased 0.08% to end the day at 3,324 points.
Singapore’s annual consumer inflation rate decreased to nearly a year low of 5.5% in March, slightly below market forecast, thanks to a slowdown in food price hikes.
