Arsenal to take on Manchester City in critical Premier League showdown

ANKARA

Arsenal will take on Manchester City in a critical English Premier League showdown on Wednesday.

The league leaders Gunners again and again have missed the chance to widen the gap between themselves and their followers, with three draws in a row, while the runners-up Citizens have kept their relentless title pursuit 5 points behind with two more games to play.

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus on Tuesday acknowledged his team’s hardship and said: “Manchester City have two games in hand but if we want to be champions we have to go there to win the game – that is all.”

He also expressed his eagerness to play against the Citizens, saying: “These are the games you want to play.”

The Citizens may have the upper hand in the upcoming game as they have won all last five clashes against the Gunners.

Manchester City’s Norwegian star Erling Haaland’s amazing form, with 32 goals in 30 league games under his belt, is also likely to help their cause.

Arsenal defenders William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko will be unavailable to play due to injuries, while Manchester City seem to have no players missing from the match.

Manchester City will host Arsenal at Etihad Stadium, Manchester on Wednesday.
