Arsenal announced on Thursday that manager Mikel Arteta extended his contract with the English club.
The 42-year-old signed a new three-year deal with the Gunners, according to a statement.
“I feel extremely proud, very excited and am looking forward to what is coming next. I’m proud to be where I am and have the relationships that I have with everyone at the club,” the Spanish coach said.
“I feel extremely lucky to work every single day with good people and the ambition we have here. I feel very inspired, I feel challenged, I feel supported and I want to do much more than what we’ve already done together,” he added.
Arteta, former assistant manager to Manchester City’s popular manager Pep Guardiola, took helm at Arsenal in 2019 and led the Gunners to 2020 FA Cup victory.
Arsenal have become major English Premier League contenders under his guidance.
