Anadolu Efes suffer away loss to Valencia Basket in EuroLeague

ANKARA

Turkish basketball club Anadolu Efes were handed a 81-71 loss to Valencia Basket on Wednesday in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 18 game in Spain.

Anadolu Efes were leading the game 56-52 by the end of the third quarter at the Pabellon Fuente De San Luis in Valencia.

But the Spanish team dominated the fourth quarter, scoring 29 points to bag the win.

Valencia’s Josep Puerto scored 15 points to lead his team. James Webb had 14 points and Klemen Prepelic added 13 points for Valencia.

Xabi Lopez-Arostegui, Jonah Radebaugh and Bojan Dubljevic scored in double digits.

Will Clyburn scored 15 points for Anadolu Efes.

Shane Larkin and Tibor Pleiss bagged 14 points each for the Istanbul club.

Anadolu Efes’ Vasilije Micic scored 11 points.

Valencia Basket have an 8-10 win/loss record in the EuroLeague regular season.

Mid-table Anadolu Efes are going 9-9.

Real Madrid are leading the EuroLeague with 12 wins in 18 games.
