Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce Beko to face off in EuroLeague Turkish derby

ANKARA

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague will feature a Turkish derby Thursday between Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce Beko.

The Istanbul clubs will face off in round 2, after both won round 1 games.

Fenerbahce’s will be without the services of Scottie Wilbekin, who tore his ACL in a EuroLeague duel Friday against Olympiacos Piraeus and it looks like his season is finished.

Tarik Biberovic, who was out against Olympiacos because of an undisclosed injury, is also doubtful for the derby.

There have not been any reported injuries on the Anadolu Efes’ roster.

The Istanbul derby will be played at Sinan Erdem Dome at 1730GMT on Thursday.

Monaco to face Israel’s Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv

French side Monaco will face Israel’s Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

Both sides won their round 1 games previous week.

Monaco’s two players are expected to be unable to play until late October as Turkish player Furkan Korkmaz suffered a slight tear in his right adductor and his teammate Nick Calathes suffered a knee injury.

Maccabi’s Wenyen Gabriel missed Round 1 game against Lyon-Villeurbanne due to an injury.

Monaco vs. Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv match will be held at Monaco’s Salle Gaston Medecin at 1700 GMT.
