Gabbia scored the winning goal for Milan in the 89th minute after his Dutch teammate Tijjani Reijnders delivered a free kick into the area.

Milan, which bagged three points, ended their derby drought against Inter. Defending Italian champions Inter beat Milan in the previous six consecutive matches in all competitions.

It is now Milan’s first derby win against Inter since 2022.

Paulo Fonseca’s men increased their points to eight to be in seventh position. Milan have joined Inter, which also have eight points in the league.

Torino are surprisingly leading the Italian top-tier football division Serie A with 11 points in five matches. Napoli have 10 points to be after Torino.
