Türkiye’s BIST 100 down at midweek’s open

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 12,206.89 points, down by 0.68% or 83.69 points.

At Tuesday’s close, the BIST 100 fell by 2.4% to 12,290.58 points, with a daily transaction volume of 109 billion liras ($2.22 billion).

As of 10.20 am local time (0720GMT), exchange rates stood at 49.0120 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 55.6895 to the euro, and 65.1275 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,198.8, while Brent crude futures were trading at $95.3 per barrel.
