Spot market electricity prices for Sunday Dec. 15

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 2,950 Turkish liras at 7.p.m. and 12 a.m. local time (1600 and 2100 GMT), according to official figures on Saturday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,050 liras at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.local time (0700 and 0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Sunday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 21.3% to around 1.19 billion liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,127.49 liras and 2.150.84 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Saturday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (1400,1600 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,978.06 liras at 1 a.m. local time (2200 GMT).
