Turkish Wind Energy Congress to kick off in Istanbul on Tuesday

The 13th Turkish Wind Energy Congress (TWEC 2024), organized by the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TUREB) with the motto, ‘Energy of the Future, Future of Türkiye,’ will kick off on Tuesday in Turkish metropolis Istanbul.

With Anadolu as the Global Communication Partner, TWEC 2024, a global platform for wind energy innovation, will bring together experts from Europe and beyond.

Scheduled for Nov. 5-6, the congress aims to unite top-tier decision-makers from the public and private sectors to shape the future of the wind energy industry.

Christian Ballaro, program officer for energy for the EU delegation to Türkiye, will be among the attendees at the conference.

Paolo Frankl, the head of the renewable energy division of the International Energy Agency, Sean Whittaker, principal renewable energy specialist with the International Finance Corporation and Giles Dickson, CEO of WindEurope, will also be among the participants at the congress.

In an invitation letter on TWEC’s website, Ibrahim Erden, TUREB president, gave details of the congress.

‘Sessions will be held where the most important and urgent issues of the wind sector will be discussed in depth by veterans,’Erden said.

‘Innovative technologies will be examined at the ‘Wind of the Future’ event; the ‘Turkish Supplier Day’ which attracted great attention last year and will be held again this year in cooperation with WindEurope and the ‘Career Festival’ where future professionals will meet the business world, will offer participants a comprehensive and rich content,’ he added.

Last year, nearly 4,500 people from 26 countries attended the congress.
