Turkish sports teams condemned a terror attack Wednesday against a defense industry facility in Ankara.
Nineteen Trendyol Super Lig teams condemned the attack that targeted The Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) in Ankara’s Kahramankazan district.
Fenerbahce expressed solidarity with the victims and emphasized a commitment to unify against terrorism.
“We wish God’s mercy upon our citizens who were martyred in the terrorist attack on TUSAS,” it said in a statement.
Besiktas wished a speedy recovery to the wounded and mercy to those killed.
“We wish God’s mercy upon our martyrs who lost their lives in the terrorist attack targeting Turkish Aerospace Industries,” it said.
Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, Samsunspor, İkas Eyupspor, Rams Basaksehir, Goztepe, Kasimpasa, Net Global Sivasspor, Tumosan Konyaspor, Sipay Bodrum FK, Caykur Rizespor, Corendon Alanyaspor, Onvo Antalyaspor, Gaziantep FK, Bellona Kayserispor, Atakas Hatayspor and Adana Demirspor extended condolences for the attack.
The Turkish Football Federation, Turkish Basketball Federation and Turkish Volleyball Federation also condemned the terror attack and wished a speedy recovery to those who were wounded.
The attack struck the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in Ankara.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said four victims were killed and 14 wounded in the heinous attack.
