Israel has committed crimes against humanity in Gaza for the last 365 days, the Turkish Cypriot president said on Monday, marking one year of Tel Aviv’s devastating war on the Palestinian enclave.

Underlining Israel’s ongoing massacres and destructive attacks on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, Ersin Tatar called for an immediate end to the attacks.

Saying that approximately 42,000 people have so far lost their lives in Gaza and that the killings would not be forgotten, Tatar said those who target innocent lives should not go unpunished.

“This brutal massacre, carried out without distinction between women, children, and civilians, in front of the eyes of the world, must come to an end at the earliest,” Tatar added.
