Spot market electricity prices for Monday, Sept. 2

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1400, 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Sunday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,998 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Monday’s electricity market shows an increase of 27.74% to around 1.8 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,669.75 liras and 2,702.45 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Sunday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m local time (1600, 1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,000 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 34.07 liras at 2.42 p.m. local time (1142 GMT) on Sunday.
