Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.45% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 883,718 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,813 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,726 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 876,373 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking an decrease of 0.15% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity plants constituted 22.5% of total generation, while natural gas imported coal plants contributed 16.8% and 16.4%, respectively.
On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 3,223 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10,568 megawatt-hours.
