Manchester United on Sunday reached the FA Cup final after beating Coventry on penalties.
The Red Devils won the shootout 4-2 after regular and extra times ended with a 3-3 draw at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Goals by Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes, in the 23rd, 46th, and 58th minutes respectively, seemed to settle the victory for United until the 95th minute.
Coventry, which netted twice with Ellis Simms in the 71st minute and Callum O’Hare in the 79th minute, equalized the score very late, in the 95th minute, with Haji Wright’s penalty goal.
Coventry even thought they won the game in the 123rd minute but Victor Torp’s goal was disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) and the match went to a penalty shootout.
Manchester United are now set to take on the reigning champions Manchester City in the final on May 25 at Wembley.
