Türkiye’s benchmark stock index rose 0.9% or 80.82 points to 9,035.94 points at the opening session on Thursday.
At Wednesday’s midweek close, the Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index earned 0.28% to reach 8,955.12 points with a daily transaction volume of 43 billion Turkish liras ($1.33 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 32.4230 as of 10.05 am (0705GMT) on Thursday, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.6070, and the GBP/TRY traded at 41.4940.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,206.75, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $86.70.
