Real Madrid defeated Panathinaikos 90-78 for their 12th EuroLeague win Thursday in Round 13 of the 2023-24 regular season.
The first quarter ended 24-23 in favor of Real Madrid while the second period ended 22-22 but the Spanish club controlled the last half, scoring 44 points.
Mario Hezonja scored 19 to lead ‘Los Blancos’ against his former club. Gabriel Deck finished with 16 points, and Dzanan Musa added 14 points for reigning EuroLeague champion Real Madrid.
Panathinaikos’ Kendrick Nunn was the game’s high scorer with 24 points and Mathias Lessort came off the bench to add 18.
Real Madrid are atop of the standings at 12 – 1. Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens are 13th at 6 – 7.
