US stocks opened Tuesday in the green.
The Dow was up 214 points, or 0.65%, to 33,151 at 10.07 a.m. EDT, while the S&P 500 rose 27 points, or 0.65%, to 4,244.
The Nasdaq, meanwhile, added 113 points, or 0.87%, to 13,131.
The VIX volatility index, also known as the fear index, fell 3.7% to 19.62. The 10-year US Treasury yield added 0.56% to 4.862%.
The dollar index increased 0.52% to 106.09 while the euro shed 0.54% to $1.0610 against the greenback.
Precious metals were mixed, with gold trimming 0.4% to $1,964 an ounce but silver flat at $22.98.
Oil prices declined around 0.8%, with global benchmark Brent crude at $89.16 per barrel and US benchmark West Texas Intermediate at $84.78.
