Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Oct. 25

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 9 a.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (0600, 1400, 1500 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,999.59 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 3.5% to 1.20 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,350.97 liras and 2,359.87 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,700 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., and between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (1100–1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 1,999.99 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 28.10 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
