Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index ended Thursday at 7,491.94 points, down 1.45%, with a daily trading volume of 59.77 billion Turkish liras ($2.2 billion)
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.4200 as of 10.20 a.m. local time (0720GMT), and the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 28.5295, while a British pound traded for 33.2250 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $84.00 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,941.85.
