Spot market electricity prices for Friday, August 25

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1200–1800 GMT), according to official figures on Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,725 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Thursday’s electricity market showed an increase of 0.55% to around 1.51 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,399.08 liras and 2,428.71 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Thursday was set at 2,700 liras between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1200–1800 GMT)), while the lowest rate was confirmed at 1,725 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 27.21 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Thursday.
