Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, July 22

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 2,499.99 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1600 and 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,649.98 liras at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Friday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 2.2% to 1.16 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,159.20 liras and 2,165.87 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 2,499.99 liras at 9 p.m. (1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was confirmed at 1,649.98 liras at 6 a.m. (0300 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 26.94 liras at 2.36 p.m. local time (1136 GMT) on Friday.
