Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, June 24

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 2,600 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (1600-1800 GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,190.98 liras at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), the data confirmed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Friday’s electricity market showed an increase of 0.7% to around 914.60 million liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 1,889.53 liras and 1,889.06 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 2,400 Turkish liras at 9 p.m. (1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,000.01 liras at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 25.52 liras at 2.26 p.m. local time (1126 GMT) on Friday.
