Italian Serie A club Juventus on Monday confirmed Paul Pogba’s injury, who was forced off the field just 23 minutes into the game against Cremonese on Sunday.
“The diagnostic tests that Paul Pogba underwent this morning at J|Medical showed a low-grade lesion of the rectus femoris of the left thigh. The footballer has already started his rehabilitation programme,” the club said in a brief statement.
The match was Pogba’s first since March, and was won by Juventus 2-0.
Pogba returned to Juventus from Manchester United on July 11, 2022, on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old has bagged four Serie A titles with Juventus, apart from 2018 World Cup and 2021 UEFA Nations League trophies with France.
