Turkish Consulate General In New York Assigned To Reyhan Ozgur

NEW YORK, NY

Reyhan Ozgur, who was appointed as Turkish Consulate General in New York, came to New York today.

Ozgur, who was assigned to the vacant position for 4 months after the former New York Consulate General Alper Aktas was called to Ankara in March. Ozgur had previously served as deputy consul general in New York for 5 years.

Who is Reyhan Ozgur?

Born in 1978 in Kardzhali, Reyhan Ozgur completed his undergraduate education at Orta Doğu Teknik University, He graduated with Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

The new Consulate General, who entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2004, served in the central organization of the ministry, in addition to the Undersecretary’s Special Consultancy Unit and Protocol and Information Departments, as well as NATO’s Political Affairs Department and Deputy Minister’s Special Secretary.

In addition, the Third Secretary of the Republic of Turkey Embassy in Baghdad, married and father of two children found in the Second Secretary and head clerk at the NATO Permanent Representative, will begin his new duties as of Monday.
