Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg 4-2 to top German Bundesliga standings

ANKARA 

A 10-man Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg 4-2 in an away match Sunday to move back to the top of the German Bundesliga standings.

Visitors Bayern Munich’s French winger Kingsley Coman scored two goals in five minutes at Wolfsburg’s Volkswagen Arena.

German forward Thomas Muller added another goal in the 19th minute to make it 3-0 for Bayern Munich.

Wolfsburg midfielder Jakub Kaminski scored on a fluent attack to narrow the gap to two goals near the end of the first half.

In the 54th minute, Bayern Munich were down to 10 men as German midfielder Joshua Kimmich was sent off after a foul.

In the 73rd minute, Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala scored a solo effort goal after skipping many Wolfsburg players, making it 4-1.

Mattias Svanberg, a Wolfsburg midfielder, scored eight minutes later to make the result 4-2 for Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have bagged 40 points in 19 matches to be on top of the German league.

Union Berlin are in second position with 39 points. Third-place Borussia Dortmund have collected 37 points to chase the club from the German capital.

Seventh-place Wolfsburg have 29 points after the loss.
