Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Jan. 10

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 4,200 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (0500 – 0700 GMT) and at 5 p.m. (1400 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,624.44 liras at 11 p.m. (2000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 9% to 1.74 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 3,147.22 liras and 3,210.86 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set as 4,200 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m (0500-0800 and 1200-1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 2,500 liras at 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. (2100 and 2200 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.78 liras at 2.30 p.m. local time (1130 GMT) on Monday.
