7 injured in Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Tatarstan region

MOSCOW

At least seven people including two children were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Tatarstan region Tuesday, state news agency TASS reported.

The attack was carried out against a complex of industrial and production facilities in Alabuga Special Economic Zone, 210 km from the regional center, the city of Kazan, emergency services said.

According to the multiple local reports, several plants were put on fire as a result of the attack, and emergency services were dealing with the consequences of the strike.

Alabuga is the largest and most successful special economic zone of industrial and production type in Russia, and has several large plants on its territory.
