At least six people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving a truck, which was carrying a US army tank in Australia’s central Queensland, Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) reported on Wednesday.

The collision, which occurred on the Bruce Highway near Rockhampton on Wednesday morning, involved a B-double truck, a semi-trailer carrying a military tank, a flatbed truck carrying two caravans, three cars, and a 4WD towing a caravan.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene to find three vehicles on fire and four others badly damaged, police said.

The Department of Defense confirmed one of the trucks was carrying a US Abrams tank.
