3 injured in lightning strike in Russia’s Moscow region

ISTANBUL

At least three people were injured in Russia’s Moscow region due to a lightning strike, state media reported on Sunday.

“During a severe thunderstorm, lightning struck people in the Patriot Park. As a result, there are casualties,” a source from Russia’s emergency services told state news agency TASS.

Indicating that two men are in serious condition, the report cited the source as saying that doctors are currently trying to revive the two men.

Several lightning strikes occurred in the central square of the park, the source further said.​​​​​​​
