TEHRAN, Iran

At least 20 people were injured on Sunday after an Israeli drone strike hit a student dormitory in Iran’s capital Tehran, Iranian state television reported.

Further details were not immediately available but the dormitory was located in the Keshavarz Boulevard.

An Anadolu correspondent said Israel targeted multiple civilian residential areas across the city, including a building in the northern neighborhood of Niavaran and one on Sabounchi Street near the Afghan Embassy.

Another strike hit a building in Seyed Khandan, a densely populated area near central Tehran.

Israel launched coordinated airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, on Friday, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes within hours. The attacks have continued for the third day.

Israeli authorities said at least 13 people were killed and more than 370 others injured as Iran retaliated.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Health Ministry said 128 people were killed and 900 others wounded since the Israeli attacks started on Friday.
