SAMSUN, Türkiye
Two suspected Daesh/ISIS terrorists were apprehended in an operation in Türkiye’s northern province of Samsun on Thursday, according to security sources.
Samsun police, in collaboration with the Security Intelligence Directorate and the Anti-Terrorism Department, apprehended an Iraqi national in the Ilkadım district on charges of being a member of the Daesh/ISIS terrorist organization while in Iraq.
Another Iraqi national detained at the same address will be handed over to immigration authorities to be processed under the country’s laws.
