Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, April 26

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (1500-1900 GMT), according to official figures released on Friday.

The lowest rate is set at 1,050 liras at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Saturday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 14.6% to around 1.47 billion liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,466.40 liras and 2,444.06 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Friday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (0500, 0600 and 1500-1900 GMT), while the lowest was at 1,379.89 liras at 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT).

US$1 equals 38.42 liras at 2.16 p.m. local time (1116 GMT) on Friday.
