Japan’s industrial output weakens less than estimated in November

ANKARA

Japan’s industrial production declined for the third month in a row, down 0.1% month-on-month in November, according to data from the Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry on Wednesday.

The market estimate was for a 0.3% decline for the month, after contracting 3.2% in October.

The decline stemmed from industries of general-purpose and business-oriented machinery, production machinery, and inorganic and organic chemicals.

On an annual basis, industrial production dropped 1.3% in November, following four months of increase.
